Product Description
Dubbed “the Ab Miracle Worker” by Men’s Health, the Lifeline Power Wheel engages hips, lower back, obliques and abdominal muscles for the functional strength, balance and correct posture needed for daily activities, work and athletic performance. The patented Lifeline Power Wheel’s revolutionary design allows you to place your hands shoulder width apart on the soft foam grips or place your feet in the adjustable foot stirrups allowing for greater body motion and workout versatility. The design utilizes more range of motion than traditional ab rollers or traditional core exercises to allow for more exercises for the moderate to a very advanced user. Move in any direction or hold positions to develop body control and hit stabilizer muscles during upper and lower body moves all while targeting core muscles. By allowing you to move in more than one plane of motion, functional training increases strength, improves balance and decreases your risk of injury when compared to fixed form movement. Using this Lifeline Power Wheel, in conjunction with functional training, will assist in increasing joint mobility and stability as well as developing more efficient motor patterns. Exercise option examples include pushups, crawls, pickups, leg lifts, leg curls, ab roll outs, crawls and knee to chest movements (Many more exercise options).

- Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2011I recently purchased the Power Wheel II remembering back to the late 1970's, early 80's using an "ab wheel" the size of a shopping cart tire. Back then my fitness goal was a rock hard stomach, plus lifting heavy weights to gain size and strength-the thought if they actually improved my athletic performance or health??. The Power Wheel looked like a huge improvement from those days.
I watched the included DVD which I found to be instructional and easy to follow along with while following training routine. An important part for me was how the Inventor/trainer and his assistant stress the need to use Power Wheel II in incremental steps to prevent overdoing it. After doing my first round of their beginning building exercises on DVD, I found using wheel to be fun, an incredible total body core workout that after 3 sessions I can already feel my body alignment, and functional strength improve.
I am a 50+ y/o male, professional F/F paramedic in good physical condition. Following the DVD and performing the building block exercise demonstrated, it was apparent to me, and stressed throughout DVD the need to build your strength, stability, and skills before progressing to the more advanced exercises later in DVD. Failure to do so seems like a sure recipe for injury or not getting results and a loss of interest (No different than trying to bench press 300 lb. w/o building up to it.} Plus, I don't see how anyone could successfully use this as a "fitness coat hanger" so you won't ever have to remove 3 layers of clothes off Power Wheel to use it...
The Power Wheel is well built, sturdy, has two handles plus well designed foot pedals to bring in the lower extremities along with building the entire chain of core strength the product promises. Consider trying to take on the 100 yard challenge the inventor gives at the end of the DVD to all users.
Very happy, an inexpensive but powerful piece of training equipment that fits well into anyone's home gym. Mixed with sandbag, kettlebell and the essential addition of the Gymboss timer will provide you an circuit/interval training that will challenge anyone to new levels of health and fitness.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 27, 2014I have a Lifeline strap that I've used since the early 1980's; happened to do a search of Lifeline on Amazon to see about getting an accessory and stumbled on the Power Wheel 2. It came up the next day on a Today's Deals, so I decided to grab it. I'm in very good cardiovascular shape, doing a 30-minute (early morning) and 20-minute (early afternoon) NordicTrack ski machine ride every day, plus my regular bike rides to the supermarket. Also have a Total Gym (which is incredible, btw) that I'm using for strength training. Back to the Power Wheel, first time I tried the beginners Supine Bridge, I could really feel the muscles in my legs and couldn't hold for the recommended 20-30 seconds; only about 3 to 5 seconds. Now, I'm up to 10-12 seconds, about 5 times. Today, I tried the leg curl, where you lay flat on your back, with feet strapped onto the Wheel, then push all the way out, then curl all the way back. No problems with any of muscle groups - was easy for me to do - but here's the kicker - and should preface with this a.m., my lower back was a bit stiff. When I pushed all the way out, I could feel my lower back adjusting in 3 different spots. Like a Chiropractic treatment, but without all the jerking and extreme pushing. Did that about a dozen times in and out - and my back felt great. Tried the next level leg curl, doing the same thing, but after pushing your body 1" off the ground, using your elbows. Easy to get 1" up, but man, when I extended down and back, I could only do it twice. Could feel my leg muscles saying "enough!" Have to work up to it, like all the exercises. And the next level up is doing it 6" off the ground. Great device; highly recommend.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2012One of the primary reasons I purchased this item was for Alligator Crawls. I had been doing them with furniture movers for quite some time. This product makes Alligator Crawls better in two ways.
First, it is far more difficult to balance with the power wheel than furniture movers. You have to keep moving with the power wheel to keep your balance. With furniture movers you can stop and take a break and just plank for a second to catch your breath. Can't stop with the power wheel or you'll basically tip over or spend a lot of energy trying to keep your balance.
Second, variations I never thought of! Power crawls, plyo crawls. Brutally hard. On the DVD they make it look easy. They're not.
The DVD is great. Shows how you do the exercise and how you can scale from easy to more challenging.
Other great exercises are the actual ab rolling, hamstring curls and pikes. You can do variations of these exercises on suspense trainers or swiss balls, but the single wheel element of the power wheel make it more challenging.
Bit pricey, but great item.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelente Producto

5.0 out of 5 stars Très belle qualité et usages multiples

5.0 out of 5 stars Come then if you think your hard enough! lol.
This is a fantastic bit of kit, the DVD that come it is helpful. But do what the DVD states, take it slow at first, this really is a core body workout. You feel it the day after. Can not recommend enough. Compared to the smaller ABS Wheel this is possibly at least 70 percent harder, as your hands are further apart. I take it to the gym with me, so far everyone has said, this wheel is much harder than the smaller wheel 9, but I will let you decide. I started with three sets of 20, now after learning my lesson, next day after burn, I am now on 3 sets of 10.
