I’ve gotten back to weightlifting, taking a break from the “predominately bodyweight training” I’d been doing for awhile.
Much of what I’m doing involves kettlebells, to help prepare and learn new things to teach at the upcoming Kettlebell Workshop in Sacramento, CA on June 15th.
As you know, in the past I’ve gone far with the kettlebell snatch. Since I’m tired of the whole lockout issue, my aim has changed and I came up with a new challenge.
Snatching the Beast (106 lb. Kettlebell) for 10 minutes. My goal for that time frame is 100 reps.
This was my attempt at it, and I only went to five minutes as this requires some build up. As you’ll see the form is a little different than other snatches, like dropping it to the shoulder, and this is for a specific reason.
I managed to do 34 reps in five minutes. It wasn’t easy, but I didn’t go all out either. I predict I’ll have my goal in time for the workshop.
If you’re up for the challenge, I encourage you to go for it.

Strong work Logan!!
Holy Sh*%! Dude, that is Awesome! That is one heavy kettlebell to be snatching for reps like that. You are one strong guy. Very impressive. I am sure you will hit your goal. Keep at it. Mike.
I love the way you consistently push yourself and make your own path. It’s motivating to see you set a tough goal, give it a solid effort, and see what happens. You put yourself out there. Respect.
