I was flowing around with some of the stand up exercises, and stumbled across this one that I particularly liked.
First is a cross leg squat until sitting. If you’re not familiar with this move, it is also the method used in the sitting-raising test.
This is then done in a twisting motion from one side to the other so you go from sit to stand to sit.
Work at it for a little bit to make the transitions smooth effortless.
Of course, it should go without saying that you should be able to perform the basics before launching into this. If you have bad hips or knees, be careful or even avoid this.
But, done properly this will help protect from injury by strengthening the weak links.
