I’ve been hard at work towards my goal of a straddle press. Specifically I’ve been working my flexibility, negatives and also positives from lowering. Here is my latest attempt from this morning, where I felt in control the entire way down (as opposed to falling at the bottom).
Since achieving the tiger bend and over 5 handstand pushups freestanding I’m spending even more time on this one, my next hand balancing goal.
I was able to do a few reps in this manner this morning before getting tired and than losing the control on the full descent.
This article on press handstand training from a few months ago shows where I was at then and some other ideas on training this skill.
I’ll have even more for you in the future.
