A lot of people are wondering how to cut fat and get freaky strong at the same time. Lets talk about basics first.
For cutting fat, before anything else you’ll want to focus on your diet. You’ll need to eat less, so your body can burn fat instead of relying solely on the food you consume on a daily basis. There are many things you can do to achieve desired results, like intermittent fasting which works great for many, but not for all. Getting away from processed food is good for everyone, since you’ll be automatically consuming less food if you eat only real, natural food. This usually goes hand in hand with upping your intake of veggies, which in turn helps you consume less carbs.
If you are looking to turn your fat into energy, you’ll need to focus on compound exercises which activate many big muscles in your body at the same time, like deadlifts, squats, snatches, burpees etc. The volume is quite important too and it can be done in a couple of different ways. HIIT (high intensity interval training) is a pretty good choice as well as circuits workout routines. Compound exercises are awesome for building strength, HIIT may also help you build strength with workouts like kettlebell swings and snatches. If you take time to build a circuit routine using compound exercises I’ve mentioned above, you’ll discover those work great as well for building strength.
You could also throw in lower volume, lower rep sets exercises like a couple of sets of deadlifts and squats, before starting your circuit training for a full body routine. If you put these into a regular practice for a few times per week, and you should be able to see and feel results pretty soon. To sum it up, put your focus on strength exercises and if you want to be able to do freaky feats like oldtime strongmen, make sure to practice those as well. Add some HIIT training to this and remember to eat less in one way or another and you’ll be able to lose fat and become freaky strong at the same time.
