You might think with the strength goals I’ve achieved, the businesses I built, and my writing these emails that go out to tens of thousands of people, that confidence has always come easy for me.
If so…you couldn’t be more WRONG.
Back around high school, I was probably one of the lowest confidence people in the whole state of California. I wasn’t even confident enough to have my own opinions about things. Like a chameleon, I would blend into whomever I was talking to at the time. I was scared to talk to people…let alone the girls!
I shudder to think about it.
But something happened that allowed me to begin to turn it around.
Effective strength training.
As I started to get stronger and able to do just a few things other people could not, my confidence began to grow.
Not just in my strength either; I found I was able to take this confidence and apply it to other areas. I took that confidence and went into business for myself as a personal trainer. I took that confidence and conquered my fear of public speaking by joining a Toastmasters group.
Also, I learned how to be confident around women 😉
The examples can go on and on.
Nowadays, I would say overall I am very confident. But it certainly wasn’t always that way.
The thing is most people do not discover…or learn how…to take confidence in one area and move it into another.
I’ll tell you more about that tomorrow. In the meantime, if you’d like a helpful way to fast track your confidence levels, then check out the new Confidence Maximizer Hypnosis.
(And that’s another thing I had to become confident in…hypnotizing people!)
