Judging from his physical appearance, we can conclude that Oscar Marieau from Canada belongs to the category of old time strongmen who were small framed, but incredibly strong. At height of 5 feet and 4 inches, Oscar weighed 142 pounds at his strongest but still managed to perform amazing feats of strength, often performing better than those twice his size.
Oscar started training at the age of 15 and after two years he was able to raise a 125 pounds heavy dumbbell overhead, while he weighed only 130 pounds. When he reached his peak in terms of strength, Oscar was able to press a 102 pounds dumbbell with his right hand at a bodyweight of 142 pounds and backlift almost 3000 pounds.
Oscar Marieau ended his strongmen career very early at the age of 32, which is understandable considering he had 10 children. Check out Deceptive Strength and find out how to become strong, but stay relatively small.
