One thing I never really had an opportunity to work on is rafter pullups. If you’re not familiar with this exercise, it is where you pinch a rafter, fingers on one side, thumbs on the other, and holding up yourself just like this, you do pullups.
In my new place were some rafters I could use.
However, this exercise was beyond my skill/strength level. So that meant I simply needed to find progressions towards it.
Just like one progression towards normal pullups is the inverted row, I started with rafter rows.
There are other ways of making progress towards the rafter pullup, but this is one specific way that can help you get there.
