Is there a RIGHT way to breathe?

And is there a WRONG way to breathe?

Yes…and no.

If you talk to most “experts” on deep breathing they’ll say their way is the one and only true way.

(Just like in most other areas of life)

Of course, this is complete and utter BS!

I know, I know, it’s easier to rally people behind you when you make things black and white, but as is life, most things are shades of grey.

So how should you breathe…

The true answer is it depends.

It depends on what your purpose is.

But there are PRINCIPLES of breathing.

These are the unwritten rules (well I guess I’ve written them now) that govern all types of breathing.

Yes, there are some basics on healthy breathing.

But there are also times to break those rules.

These are covered in tons of depth in Upgrade Your Breath which you can grab here…

But for now, I thought I’d share this handy picture I had made up.


When you understand these 6 principles and can use them when and where you want, changing your breathing to reflect what you’re aiming to accomplish, you’ll be attaining mastery in this area.
