That may have been the longest time I’ve gone without doing any pullups or chin-ups since I began seriously training!
I’m talking about the months since my gym burned down and until I bought the following…
Ultimate Body Press XL Doorway Pull Up Bar with Elevated Bar & Adjustable Width
At first, I was busy working with the Isochain, so I was fine not to do them.
But I began to miss this exercise!
Pullups are one of the best exercises out there in my opinion. Just think about it. Can you defy gravity in this way?
So I purchased this bar to give me a place to do them once again. And I got to work…
Tomorrow I’ll share a bit about my current training program and how that quickly got me up to hitting that new PR of 25 bodyweight pullups.
I certainly miss my power rack where I could hang fully. But you have to make do with what you’ve got.
Bodyweight exercises are great in that most take zero equipment. And if you’re going to get one tool let some place to do pullups be it! (That’s if you can do pullups in the first place of course. Different tools for different people depending on where you’re at.)
I like this unit especially as it gives you the pullup, chin-up and neutral grips to work with.
This mixing up the grip can be especially helpful with the higher volume plan I’ll share with you tomorrow. At least for me personally, it helps to spare the elbows from overuse injuries.
