It’s actually been a year since I was first really introduced to a certain nutrient and began a wide range of experiments with it.
It’s cheap and common but almost no one has a idea of all the benefits it can bring.
According to a book by medical doctors it:
- Lowers bad cholesterol better than pharmaceuticals
- Improves the function of your circulatory system
- Protects your brain
- Is involved in DNA repair
- Helps fix arthritis
- Increases healing speed
- Important for hormone health
You may ask how one thing can do so much. All in all plays a role in over 500 reactions in the body. Thus that’s 500 opportunities for things to start going wrong if you have insufficient amounts.
It even can cure schizophrenia according to these guys!
And chances are you’re not getting enough from your diet.
When discussing things like vitamins and minerals many people think that they can get enough from diet alone. Obviously that would be ideal.
But not only may it be tough to do…it might be impossible to get enough.
Let me tell you why I say that.
Our need for various nutrients isn’t as static as those RDA amounts would have you believe. For one, they’re notoriously low. Those amounts are what are needed to prevent diseases of deficiency.
There is no listed amount for what you need for OPTIMAL health.
If you’re doing something like physical training you probably need more than the average person with many nutrients. Why? You need support for you body to grow in the ways you want it to.
Due to genetic variation some people simply just need more than others.
But the biggest factor is environmental. If you’re body is under stress (and who isn’t?) you are using up your micronutrients faster than normal.
Fighting a disease or infection? You need even more. Many pathogens actually inhibit your ability to absorb or utilize nutrients necessary in your immune system, so that they can stick around longer. Smart for them, not so good for us.
I’ve heard of people going through cancer taking up to 250 grams of vitamin C per day. To contrast that the RDA for men is 90 mg. The average C supplement is 500 mg to 1 gram. So these people are taking 2777 times the amount needed to simply prevent scurvy.
I remember in my high school health class the teacher saying anything above the RDA was useless and just pissed out of the body. She couldn’t have been more wrong.
These doctors argued that in many cases it may be impossible to get enough of certain nutrients, including the one I’m talking about (which isn’t C), from diet alone.

In the newest issue of the Strength Health Mind Power Inner Circle I talk all about this one nutrient. In addition I give you not one, but four different protocols for different effects it can bring.
One of which is the Mega-Dose protocol to help with some of those things I mentioned above.
But the truth is that’s not even the one that excites me the most. I’ll share some details on the next one tomorrow…
