A quick run through of my top five sleep sleep tips that can help boost your quality of sleep. Watch the video and read below.

Belief

Do you believe you’re good at sleeping? Do you believe your bad at sleeping? You may be thinking that belief doesn’t have anything to do with it, it’s just a fact. But then you’d be missing the idea that a mental block could very well stop you from getting better results from the other steps.

Routine

Going to bed and waking up at the same time is proven to help ensure better quality sleep. In addition, doing certain things as part of a nighttime routine before you go to bed can help get your body and mind ready for sleep.

Nighttime Light

In short, try to avoid it. Specifically, it is the blue light spectrum that suppresses melatonin. So this tip involves such possibilities as turning off devices and screens an hour or two before bed, getting black out curtains and using blue blocking sunglasses.

Morning Light

On the flip side of melatonin is seratonin. This “feel good” neurotransmitter is produced by getting sunlight in your eyes in the morning. This means that one of the best things you can do to sleep better is getting outside first thing in the morning (or if you’re an early riser, once the sun is up).

Supplements

There are TONS of options here. You can take melatonin, but I wouldn’t recommend this IF you’re not first doing the proper steps above. Various nutrients work. And then there are herbs, such as valerian, passionflower, hops, are some of the others we sell at Lost Empire Herbs like ziziphus or albizia.
